Service Description

Comics are called the ninth art. Much like the poetry of film, it is a visual art of stills conveying motion. Incorporating both words and pictures, a cartoonist can control pacing of the story in a way entirely unique to the medium. Students will learn cartooning as a vehicle for narrative, and simple, effective ways to create their very characters, taking home a completed comic, and how to collaborate with others on telling a story. Romey Petite is a performer, writer, and illustrator. He attended and completed the two year MFA program at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT. He is author of the MGLit fairy tale Spiderella: The Girl Who Spoke with Spiders (with illustrator Laurel Holden), Horrorscope: Stories, and tells stories known as Mort the Dead Author.
